Origin Story

Making great products since 2006

Coalesce was created by R. Staton Piercey and Justin Rancourt way back when the web was still wired (we’ve even done our share of Cat 5 rigging in various crawl spaces). As wifi and mobile became mainstream, our company evolved to fit the needs of our clients—brave souls with great ideas. Although we’ve come a long way from the early web, we’re still solving digital problems the best way we know how: pairing best-in-class tech with a smart, reliable team you can trust.

We choose work that inspires us, technology-based or otherwise. It all comes together when we can work with creative and passionate individuals who have the drive to push their product forward and the trust to let us do our best work.

We’re still based in NYC but currently working remotely across the globe.

And the best way to get that data is to put a product in the hands of those using it. So we say get it out there. Even if it’s not perfect. Because the sooner you do, the sooner it will be.

We are drawn to the unusual and unconventional. We try our best to embrace change. And we push ourselves to experiment. We once bought a billboard in Tennessee. We host an annual ski competition honoring the Norse god Ullr. We launched a music management company because we had so many ideas to help the music business. We’re in the middle of creating our own coffee. And we chose the lowly pigeon, an underrepresented powerhouse of aviation, as our mascot. So yeah. We like weird.
